Food – Too Good to Waste
May 3, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
One third of all food produced goes to waste. This uneaten food is responsible for about 8 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. Please join us as we learn innovative ways to reduce food waste and help reverse climate change, and save money to boot.
We are fortunate to have four excellent and knowledgeable speakers: Lorig Charkoudian, District 20 Maryland State Delegate; Alison Bauer, Field Marketing Manager of Hungry Harvest; Lauren Goldberg, Executive Director of Crossroads Community Food Network; and Gina Mathias, Takoma Park Sustainability Manager. This session is open to all; registration required. Please go to villageoftakomapark.com for more information and to register to receive the Zoom link.
