Takoma Pride Day is Sunday, June 9, 2024
We are celebrating our LGBTQ+ community during Takoma Pride Day on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm with a Kids’ Pride Parade and Street Fair on Laurel Avenue.
10:00 am Kids’ Pride Parade
A Kids’ Pride Parade will start at the TPSS Co-op, 201 Ethan Allen Avenue at 10:00am (meet at 9:45am). All welcome to join and share messages of Pride! The parade will end on Laurel Ave.
10:00 am – 2:00 pm Street Fair

- Pride Photo Board at Laurel Ave Clocktower
- Chalk the Block
- Visitors are encouraged to share messages of Pride on Laurel Avenue where there will be chalk available in the closed street.

Kids’ Pride Parade

Free Poster Making for the Takoma Pride Parade
Get ready for the parade! Stop by one of these two poster making sessions to create a poster to use during the Kids’ Pride Parade.
Saturday, June 8, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm: The Loft is hosting a free poster making session at its studio at 7007 Carroll Ave.
Date TBD: The Fullfillery will host a poster making session at its shop at 7006 Carroll Ave, #200
At the Street Fair, we will enjoy a visit by the fabulous Tara Hoot!
