We are thrilled to announce the kickoff of our 25th annual Takoma Park Alternative Gift Fair season! We are celebrating our Silver Anniversary and the annual opening of our website!
Volunteers will be just outside the Farmer’s Market to talk about all things Alternative Gift Fair.
With an Alternative Gift, holiday “shopping” means donating to nonprofits in the name of your loved ones. Alternative Gifts are gifts of donation that fill a direct and tangible need, such as a week’s worth of fresh, local veggies for a local family, or a classroom set of books for readers at the DC Jail.
Meet with some of the representatives from our 14 wonderful local charities and learn about the meaningful work they do in the community and in the world. Volunteers will be available to assist with alternative gift purchases.
Can’t make the event? No problem! Online sales will be available from 11/19/23-1/3/24 at aggw.org.
