The Acoustic Guitar Project Concert

On July 11^th, five DC area singer-songwriters chosen to participate in the 2020 global music challenge, The Acoustic Guitar Project will perform the song they had to write in one week. This is the seventh year that five different songwriters are selected in 55 cities around the world to take on the challenge of writing and recording an original song in the allotted time and then passing on the same guitar and recorder to the next artist.

The concert for the 2020 artists was delayed because of the pandemic and will be held outdoors. Those who attend will hear songs that reflect a year fraught with challenges, through themes of loss, political division, and a declaration of “what really matters.”

The two hour concert hosted by the DC curator and singer/songwriter Suzanne Brindamour (a past TAGP participant) will feature musical artists Rob Hinkal, Patty Reese, Arch Alcantara, Janine Wilson and Rick Engdahl.
