Takoma Park ES Watershed Clean Up and Planting Event!

May 11 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Takoma Park ES is hosting a big planting and clean-up day at the school on May 11th from 1pm-4pm. Teachers, students and the community will be planting native plants in the butterfly memorial garden and other beds, mulching a section of the grounds ahead of more tree planting, picking up litter and possibly planting more trees.

Come help and learn from Master Gardeners and our volunteers about the value of planting native plants, how to plant them, and how to care for them!

The school is also asking for native plant donations so if you have any you can spare, then please let us know by emailing Judy at judyfrose[@]gmail.com. We can pick up the plants, or you can drop them at 7811 Takoma Ave and we will look after them until planting day.

Trash bags and gloves will be provided to the first 100 volunteers, but if you have your own then please do bring them!

Hope to see you there and thank you for your support!
