Street Reporter Screening

Street Reporter tells the story of an aspiring photojournalist who discovers the power of her own voice while overcoming homelessness. Filmed here in our nation’s capital, this Oscar-qualified short documentary has won awards at film festivals around the country, including the Austin Film Festival and Heartland Film Festival, and has debuted at Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Palm Springs ShortFest, and the United Nations Association Film Festival.

After the 26-minute film, We will have a panel discussion with the director and participants to provide insight into the film’s creation and the experience of living unhoused in DC. A reception with light snacks will follow.

Free childcare will be provided during the event for children 0-10.
