Garlic Fest at the Takoma Park Farmers Market

The Takoma Park Farmers Market hosts its Annual Garlic Festival on Sunday, July 16th, from 10:00am-2:00pm. This year’s garlic harvest is the star of the market and available for sale at vendor stands. It’s the perfect match for the market’s fresh seasonal produce.
The market will host Tony “the Garlic Guru” Sarmiento, members of the Takoma Horticultural Club, and volunteers from the Koiner Conservancy for Urban Farming, who will offer garlic growing tips for the home gardener. Plus Sara Hayden, enthusiastic home cook and former professional caterer, will serve up some garlic-based sauces for shoppers to taste with recipes to share.
