Afro Fusion Movement: Classes with Kima Hawk

Kima Hawk has been dancing since before she could walk. She has accompanied many musicians and bands over the years including Janka Nabay and the BuBu Gang, the Bele Bele Rhythm Collective, Nii Dembaya, and most recently she danced on stage with Malian rock star Fatoumata Diawara at the Strathmore.

Now she’s bringing her incredible gift of making Afro Fusion Movement (as she calls it), accessible to all to the Rhythm Room in Takoma Park.

For 3 weeks in October, you can drop in to the Rhythm Room for an Afro Movement class with Kima, conveniently scheduled right after Drumspiration drumming classes. Oct 15, 22 and 29, 6:30pm.
