The Big Trike

Check out The Big Trike on display on Laurel Avenue all summer. This functional work of art was created by Howard Connelly Design who has generously loaned the piece to Main Street Takoma to be enjoyed by the community. Howard has already made many pieces of art for the Takoma Park community including the giant TKPK bike racks/street barriers on Laurel Ave, several entries in the reCYCLE Please Sit on the Art annual project (one of which remains, “Wheelie Motorcycle” in front of Motorkat, 6939 Laurel Ave), “Blue Benches” at the Takoma Park Gazebo, “Azalea Sculpture” at Piney Branch and Flower Avenues, and he collaborated on “Bird Calls,” an interactive sculpture located at Erie and Flower Avenues in front of Mansa Kunda Restaurant, 8000 Flower Avenue.
