Overview:
The Takoma Micro-Grant for COVID Relief is available to eligible businesses that have experienced revenue loss due to COVID. Grants can be used for commercial rent, mortgage, utilities, payroll, other operational expenses or equipment or supplies related to changes due to COVID operations. Funds are limited and will be prioritized based on need. This is a grant, not a loan, and does not need to be repaid.

We are releasing this grant application in anticipation of receiving Maryland Recovery Funds to add to our existing, community-funded Takoma Micro-Grant Fund for COVID Relief.


Eligibility:

Must be an established business or non-profit.

Must be located in the Takoma commercial district
(near the Metro in Takoma Park, MD and the Takoma neighborhood of Washington, DC on Carroll, Laurel, Maple, Willow, Westmoreland, Grant, 4th, Cedar and Blair) MAP.

Must have experienced a revenue loss related to COVID

Must only spend funds on eligible items: commercial rent, mortgage, utilities, payroll, other operational expenses or equipment or supplies related to operational changes due to COVID. Funds are limited and will be prioritized based on need.

If selected to receive a grant, business must sign an agreement and agree to using the money only on eligible items and complete a W-9.

Government agencies
Real estate companies and agents
Churches
