Yoga for Bone Health and Osteoporosis (Continued)

Refresh, Renew, Expand your Bone Health/Osteoporosis practice! This workshop offers students who have attended a prior bone health/osteoporosis workshop (or equivalent) an opportunity to check in, get feedback, and deepen their practice to prevent and reverse bone loss. We’ll highlight key information from the initial workshops and answer questions about how your practice is progressing. After reviewing the initial twelve poses in the Fishman Method and offering variations/modifications, we’ll introduce other asanas you can include to vary your practice. We’ll share additional poses that strengthen bones in the wrist—a common site of osteoporosis fractures—in addition to the hip, femur and spine. And to help prevent falls, we’ll explore some new balance and core-strengthening asanas.
Appropriate for men and women who want to strengthen their bones, whether they have been diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis or not. It’s never too early to do the work to build and maintain your inner architecture!
