Yin Yoga is a slow, deep, and calming practice. All poses focus on stretching the connective tissue (fascia, tendons, and ligaments). All poses have longer holds to affect the connective tissue of the hips, thighs, back, neck, and shoulders. This class will calm and balance your body and mind, increase mobility and flexibility, lower stress levels, and promote relaxation. It may help those coping with anxiety, migraines, and muscle fatigue, as well. Restorative Yin is an excellent complement to yang classes like Power Flow and Hot Flow and will vastly improve your ability and comfort to sit for meditation.
