“Peace Dragon” Author Linda Ragsdale

November 14, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free
Linda Ragsdale, a survivor of the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attack, will talk about her new picture book, The Peace Dragon, on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. In the book, illustrated by Marco Furlotti, a little boy named Sherwyn finds a dragon and at first is terrified because of dragons’ scary reputations. Fortunately, it turns out that the dragon is a peace dragon and together, the dragon and Sherwyn win over the terrified people of Sherwyn’s village. In its review, Kirkus noted: “This doe-eyed dragon may help children look to others who are different with compassion instead of fear, whether it be on the playground or in the world.” Politics & Prose will be selling books at our event, but the program is free and no purchase is required.
