Online Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training

April 18, 2021 @ 9:30 am - 2:30 pm

This ONLINE training consists of learning the physiological milestones of pregnancy and post-pregnancy and how yoga can be used as a tool of support. The training will be recorded and videos will be available on the online classroom which will contain other learning materials that participants will always have access to.

During weekend 1, participants will learn what yoga tools are considered best practices for pregnant people, how to approach common discomforts, why certain postures and breath patterns are contraindicated, and how to create a well-rounded prenatal yoga practice.
During weekend 2, participants will learn how yoga can be a part of holistic postpartum care, how to reconnect to core and pelvic floor muscles, ways to incorporate baby in a postnatal yoga practice, why certain postures are contraindicated, and how to create a well-rounded postnatal yoga practice.

The end of each weekend will be devoted to practicing teaching in pairs and small groups to put what you’ve learned into practical experience, gather supportive and constructive feedback, and to hone your new skills as a perinatal yoga teacher.

This training is for yoga teachers, doulas, midwives or anyone who wants more tools to support birthing people.
