Azalea City Recordings’ 25th Anniversary Celebration kicks off Oct 8!

Azalea City Recordings Cooperative Record Label is 25 years old and we are celebrating all weekend!
You are invited to join the celebration of our city’s record label that hosts an eclectic group of award-winning recording artists who hail from Takoma Park and the DMV area, the southwest, the northeast and even the English countryside.
The celebration starts on Friday, October 8 from 1-3 with a live radio broadcast from our city’s own WOWD-LP 94.3. https://takomaradio.org/. Tune in and hear the songs and stories of our nationally renowned home town record label.
On the evening of Saturday, Oct. 9th, several more ACR artists will be performing at El Golfo, on the border of Takoma Park and Silver Spring. If the weather is good, the concert will be held outside. (Don’t worry, last year Ada at El Golfo purchased outdoor heaters which rival the coziest of bon fires.) If the weather is bad, we will either move inside if the covid levels are down or if we feel it is unsafe, we will reschedule and hope for better weather. Check the website for updates. Concert starts at 6:30pm and goes until 8:30pm.
And finally on Sunday, come out and join your neighbors to enjoy more of own fair city’s excellent music makers perform at the Takoma Park Gazebo, Sunday Oct. 10 from 1:00-3:00pm.
