A White Historian Confronts Residential Segregation

June 22, 2020 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

In her final lecture of this series, local historian Susan Strasser explores how the segregation of neighborhoods in American cities developed as a deliberate strategy. In the wake of World War II, city zoning laws, federal government bills like the GI Bill, and restrictive covenants, combined with realtor blockbusting and banks redlining  to create the residential segregation challenges of today.   Free and open to all.
