Celebrate July 4th in Takoma Park

130th Annual Independence Day Parade, 10:00 am
Don’t miss this favorite Takoma tradition! Parade starts at 10:00 am and about 1.5 hours. This year’s theme is Community Heroes and leading the parade will be the Grand Marshals – Takoma Park’s First Responders. Parade begins at Carroll & Ethan Allen Aves, travels south on Carroll Ave, turns right on Maple Ave, and continues to Ritchie Ave. Info: Here

NEW Evening Program, 7:00 pm
Party in the streets this year at the new Independence Day Evening Program with a stage of live music and a street full of food trucks, beer from Silver Branch Brewing Co, children’s activities, vendors and more. The Takoma Park Community Band kicks off the event with a patriotic selection of classical, popular and show tunes and then MO’Fire! will keep the party going with the music of The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Sam Cooke, Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Diana Ross  and Earth, Wind & Fire.
New Location: in front of the Takoma Park Community Center, 7500 Maple Avenue Takoma Park.

Note: There will not be fire works this year due to construction at the Takoma Park Middle School.
