Demystifying Mula Bandha

December 14, 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm

$70

This 4-hour workshop is an in-depth exploration of the physiology of the pelvis, the role of the pelvic floor muscles, and demystifying Mula bandha. The first 2 hours of this workshop will be a deep dive into pelvic anatomy and physiology, exploring individually and through partner work how our bodies move in space as well as the inner workings of our physical and energetic bodies. Then we’ll explore the power of Mula bandha: exploring the stability of pelvic floor engagement in movement as well as the importance of releasing these muscles for restoration, culminating this workshop in an hour-long practice exploring the application of all that we learned.

This workshop is intended for mothers and/or yoga teachers seeking continuing education.

Be prepared for a lecture, movement, and working together with fellow participants.

Each participant will be provided with worksheets and other materials; please bring a pen to write with. This workshop is eligible for Yoga Alliance CEUs.
Jess Gruber leads this workshop; she has a Master of Science in clinical yoga therapy and is a certified yoga therapist specializing in reproductive wellness. Jess works with womxn who want to have better periods, are experiencing pelvic pain or dysfunction, or are seeking holistic prenatal and postpartum care.
