Please consider making a donation to the Old Takoma Business Association, which runs the Main Street Takoma program.

Our mission is bringing together businesses, residents and community organizations dedicated to developing a vibrant market center, from the Takoma Junction, Maryland, to the Takoma Theatre, DC, to enhance our unique and historic town setting.

Your donation will go toward promoting local, independently-owned businesses, sponsoring concerts and other events, buying flowers for the Old Takoma area, recruiting and retaining businesses, and much more.

Men, be ALERT to potential Valentine’s Sneak Attack! This year, Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday, giving you precious little time to coordinate your Love Offensive. Park Florist is here to help!
Come visit us at the beginning of Valentine Week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, February 8 to 10th, for a Men Only Happy Hour (with Beerverages).
You can check out an array of our glorious floral designs at a variety of price ranges and sample our fantastic Seattle Chocolates. Then share a brewski with other guys and swap stories of Valentines battles won and lost. Then it’s off to the other shops in Takoma Park’s Cupid HQ; Now and Then, S&A Beads to complete your perfect Valentine.
We are even offering a special free floral delivery at DC-area restaurants. With one stop you can find something to knock the socks off your Sweetheart and declare a Valentine’s Day Victory.

Attend a Main Street Committee meeting & help your Main Street!

We have four standing committees:

  • Design, which works on the physical appearance of the area;
  • Economic Restructuring, which focuses on business retention and recruitment;
  • Promotions, which seeks to highlight local businesses to the broader Washington area, as well as create events and activities that bring people to Old Takoma;
  • Organization, which provides the structure for the whole organization and the work of the other committees.
