Please consider making a donation to the Old Takoma Business Association, which runs the Main Street Takoma program.

Our mission is bringing together businesses, residents and community organizations dedicated to developing a vibrant market center, from the Takoma Junction, Maryland, to the Takoma Theatre, DC, to enhance our unique and historic town setting.

Your donation will go toward promoting local, independently-owned businesses, sponsoring concerts and other events, buying flowers for the Old Takoma area, recruiting and retaining businesses, and much more.

Community Fun Day ~ TP Seventh Day Adventist Church

Community Fun Day (Takoma Park, MD)

Takoma Park Seventh-day Adventist Church is launching its second annual Community Fun Day on Sunday, August 29, 2010, 11:00 a.m. -- 3:00 p.m.; located at Takoma Park SDA Church Center, 6810 Eastern Avenue, Washington, DC  20012.  Community Fun Day is absolutely FREE and is open to the public.  Come out and enjoy a day of fun, good food, lots of laughter, entertainment, and lots more for the whole family.  This is a great way to meet and greet your neighbors, all in the name of love.  Please contact Mary-Helen Dove at (301) 622-4999 or the Church office at (202) 829-4800 for further information.

Attend a Main Street Committee meeting & help your Main Street!

We have four standing committees:

  • Design, which works on the physical appearance of the area;
  • Economic Restructuring, which focuses on business retention and recruitment;
  • Promotions, which seeks to highlight local businesses to the broader Washington area, as well as create events and activities that bring people to Old Takoma;
  • Organization, which provides the structure for the whole organization and the work of the other committees.
